Kombucha has been around for centuries, originating in China and then migrating to the the US and other countries. One man claimed that it helped eliminate his moms' cancer. Some believe it helps the immune system grow stronger.
Kombucha is a fermented tea with a bacterial agent called the SCOBY. There are about 5 to 6 companies that have established themselves in the Kombucha market. Some have even fermented the tea further and turned it into a healthy alternative for alcoholic consumption.
I felt like they all had something in common with their design. All of the labels are so busy. So I wanted to take on the challenge of recreating the kombucha brand to appeal to the younger generation of people. Young adults like myself are looking for ways to create a healthy lifestyle. I wanted to create a simple design that resembles the products they already see everyday. I also wanted to create an informational booklet about the origins of the tea, how its' processed and a few statistics about the product in the marketplace.
